A magical bridge from the harried weekday to the day of rest The daytime kiddush consists of several verses from Exodus, followed by the blessing on wine. She invests herself with strength and makes her arms powerful. She considers a field and purchases it, and plants a vineyard with the fruit of her labors. She gets up while it is still night to provide food for her household, and a fair share for her staff. On the seventh day God finished the work that God had been doing, and God ceased on the seventh day from all the work that God had done. The heaven and the earth were finished, and all their array.
